Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how TacticMax, a chess training app by MTech Forge, handles information when you use the app. TacticMax is designed to work without account creation or direct personal profile collection, while still using limited third-party services for ads, billing, and platform features.
You can use TacticMax without signing up with your name, email address, or profile.
Settings, puzzle progress, streaks, ratings, and session history are stored locally on your device.
Google AdMob, consent tools, and Google Play Billing may process technical or purchase-related data under their own policies.
1. Information We Collect Directly
TacticMax does not require you to create an account or submit personal profile information such as your name, email address, home address, or phone number in order to use the app.
MTech Forge does not operate a user account system, cloud sync service, or player profile backend for TacticMax at this time.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To provide the app's core functionality, TacticMax stores app data locally on your device. This local storage may include:
- App settings such as sound preferences, board theme, coordinates, vision trainer options, and onboarding choices.
- Puzzle training data such as solved and failed attempts, puzzle IDs, ratings, hint use, and session summaries.
- Progress data such as current rating, best rating, best streak, best rush score, and daily puzzle status.
- Reminder and notification state, including whether daily streak reminders are enabled.
- Review prompt state, such as whether you dismissed a review request or opened the Play Store review flow.
- Purchase status stored locally after Google Play confirms ownership of the app's ad-free product.
Unless your device or operating system backs up app data automatically, removing the app may also remove this locally stored progress.
You can generally remove locally stored TacticMax data by uninstalling the app or by clearing the app's storage through your device settings. If your device or platform restores app data from a backup, some local data may return when the app is reinstalled.
3. Notifications and Reminder Features
TacticMax can offer optional local reminder notifications to help you maintain your training streak or return for daily practice.
- Notifications are optional and can be enabled or disabled in the app settings.
- On supported Android devices, the app may request notification permission before reminders are enabled.
- The app stores reminder state locally so it can determine whether a reminder should be scheduled.
TacticMax does not use reminders to collect contact information, build marketing lists, or create personal user accounts.
4. Advertising and Consent
TacticMax may display ads through Google AdMob. Ads are currently used in certain parts of the app for non-Pro users, including puzzle rush-related flows.
When AdMob is used, Google and its partners may automatically receive or process certain information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, app interaction data, diagnostics, and approximate location inferred from IP address, subject to Google's own systems and policies.
Depending on your region, your device settings, and Google's policies, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. TacticMax may use Google's consent tools to present privacy choices and to respect regional advertising privacy requirements where applicable.
Where required, the app may present consent choices and privacy options before ads are requested. You may also have access to a Manage Consent option inside the app.

5. In-App Purchases
TacticMax offers an optional Google Play in-app purchase for an ad-free or Pro-style entitlement. All payments are processed by Google Play Billing, not by MTech Forge directly.
- MTech Forge does not receive or store your full payment card details.
- The app may receive purchase status information from Google Play, such as whether a purchase is owned, restored, pending, or available.
- This purchase status may be stored locally on your device so the app can unlock the correct features.
6. Review Prompts, External Store Links, and Support
TacticMax may occasionally prompt you to rate the app after certain training milestones. If you choose to continue, the app may open the Google Play listing for TacticMax.
The app also includes links for privacy policy access and contacting the developer. When you choose to use those links, your interaction with external services such as Google Play, your email app, or your web browser will be governed by those services' own privacy practices.
7. How We Share Information
MTech Forge does not sell your personal information. TacticMax also does not maintain its own player account database for sharing or reselling user profiles.
However, information may be processed by third-party providers that support specific app features, such as:
- Google AdMob and related consent services for advertising and ad privacy controls.
- Google Play Billing for purchase processing and purchase restoration.
- Platform services such as your device's notification system, email app, browser, or Play Store app when you choose to use them.
8. Children's Privacy
TacticMax is a chess training app and is not built around direct collection of personal profile information from children. We do not knowingly ask children to create accounts or submit names or email addresses inside the app.
If a child uses TacticMax, third-party services such as Google AdMob or Google Play may still process technical data according to their own policies and platform rules.
9. Security, Retention, and Deletion
Because most app data is stored locally on your device, the security of that data also depends on your device security, operating system protections, and backup settings.
TacticMax does not operate its own player account backend for this app. However, third-party providers such as Google AdMob, Google's consent systems, and Google Play Billing may process technical or transaction-related data under their own security and privacy practices when those services are used.
Local app data is generally retained on your device until you remove it, clear app storage, reset your device, or the operating system removes the app's local data. TacticMax does not guarantee indefinite retention of local data after app removal, device reset, storage cleanup, or backup changes.
If you want to delete local TacticMax data, you can typically do so by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage in your device settings. Data processed by third-party providers such as Google may be retained according to those providers' own policies and legal obligations.
10. Changes to This Policy
MTech Forge may update this Privacy Policy if TacticMax adds new features, new third-party services, or different data handling practices. The latest version should always be posted with an updated effective date.
